INCOMING MOBILITY

     Incoming students and staff are welcome to the University of Sarajevo and the Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security Studies. Specific nomination deadlines, requirements, and mobility periods vary depending on the program (e.g., Erasmus or freemover), so interested participants should contact the University of Sarajevo or Faculty for detailed information.

 

  • INCOMING STUDENTS

        Exchange and Mobility Opportunities

     Students may apply for mobility as exchange students, whether for a semester or a full academic year, through Erasmus+, CEEPUS, EUPeace, a bilateral agreement between their home university and UNSA, or as freemovers. A specific application process must be followed for each category. To be eligible, students must be officially nominated by their home university, which confirms their enrollment status at the home institution. Nomination comes from our partner institutions with whom University of Sarajevo or Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security Studies, University of Sarajevo have established and signed agreements. It is also possible to accept freemovers (students without an established agreement between their home institution and the University of Sarajevo or Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security Studies), provided they meet the mobility requirements.

 

         Erasmus+ Eligibility Requirement

     As for the ERASMUS + mobility, students can apply for mobility if their home institution has a signed Erasmus+ KA171 Inter-institutional Agreement with the University of Sarajevo or Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security Studies, University of Sarajevo.

        Calls and Nomination Process

Students may apply for international mobility through calls published on the University of Sarajevo (UNSA) or Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security Studies website. For the calls published on the University of Sarajevo website, nominations are submitted through the UNSA online form and must include the student’s name, gender, field of study, and email address. Once received, the UNSA International Relations Office contacts the student with instructions for the application. Regarding ERASMUS+ mobility, nominations must be submitted exclusively by the official Erasmus or Institutional Coordinator of the student’s home university. As for the the calls published on the or Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security Studies website, the nominations should be sent to ideljkic@fkn.unsa.ba, Vice Dean for International Cooperation.

         Application Guidelines and Deadlines

All current Erasmus+ and other mobility calls for University of Sarajevo, including information on eligibility, required documents, application procedures, and deadlines, are available on the official UNSA International Relations Office page. Students must follow the instructions in each call and submit their applications online according to the published guidelines. Same apply for the required documents when the calls are published on the Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security Studies website.   • INCOMING STAFF MOBILITY

 

     At the University of Sarajevo (UNSA) and Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security Studies, international academic and non‑academic staff can join us in various ways.

  

         Teaching and Training Opportunities

 

     Staff members who wish to deliver lectures, workshops, or share expertise can apply through Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility, CEEPUS, or bilateral agreements. For professional development, staff can apply for Erasmus+ Training Mobility, which includes opportunities such as seminars, job‑shadowing, and workshops for both academic and non‑academic staff. Staff mobility is also possible through bilateral agreements, EUPeace, and other international cooperation programs.

 

          Eligibility and Nomination

To be eligible, staff must be officially nominated by their home institution. Nominations are accepted only from partner universities with which the University of Sarajevo or the Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security Studies has signed Erasmus+ or bilateral agreements.

          Nomination Procedures and Deadlines

     For Erasmus calls published on the University of Sarajevo or the Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security Studies website, staff nominations must be submitted at least three (3) months prior to the planned mobility. For freemovers to the Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security Studies, please contact ideljkic@fkn.unsa.ba for specific nomination deadlines and requirements. If coming for teaching, mobility dates must fall within the approved teaching periods: October – December and March – May.

          Application Process

     The first step in applying for staff mobility is nomination by your home institution. For calls published on the University of Sarajevo website, nominations are submitted by the home coordinator through the UNSA online nomination form. As for the calls published on the Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security Studies website, nominations should be sent to ideljkic@fkn.unsa.ba, the Vice Dean for International Cooperation, who coordinates nominations for those calls.

          Confirmation and Practical Details

     Once the nomination is approved, staff will receive a welcome email from the University of Sarajevo or the Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security Studies with confirmation of acceptance, instructions for required documents, and practical details to prepare for the mobility.

  • INCOMING FREEMOVER MOBILITY

     

     The Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security Studies welcomes freemover students and staff interested in mobility at our institution. Freemover mobility is intended for individuals who are able to independently cover the costs of travel, accommodation, and living expenses during their stay. This type of mobility offers flexibility beyond formal exchange agreements and allows participants to define the duration and content of their academic or professional stay.

 

          Application Requirements

     In case of expressed interest in incoming freemover mobility, candidates are required to submit the following documents:

  • Recommendation or nomination letter from the home institution

  • Personal statement (including planned activities at the Faculty, expected duration of stay, and relevant details)

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)

  • Signed statement confirming that the University of Sarajevo and the Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security Studies have no financial obligations toward the visiting candidate during their stay
