Women, Peace and Security Summer School - Sarajevo, 14–18 September 2026

The International Women, Peace and Security Summer School returns to Sarajevo for its 2nd edition! We are pleased to welcome more than 20 selected participants from across the region for five days of learning, dialogue and exchange. This year’s Summer School will explore how the global Women, Peace and Security (WPS) and Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) agendas intersect with some of today’s most pressing challenges — from hate speech and divisive narratives to polarization — and how women and young people can contribute to stronger social cohesion and more peaceful and inclusive societies. Organized by @fkkss_unsa and @univerzitet_u_sarajevu, in continued partnership with @unitednationsbih and @unitednationsalbania, with support from the United Nations Secretary-General’s Peacebuilding Fund (PBF). This year, the collaboration brings together three #PBF-supported initiatives — #WomenLeadBiH, #NoToHateSpeech and the regional #Y4IET programme — connecting expertise across #WPS, #YPS, social cohesion and efforts to counter hate speech and divisive narratives.
